Once sorting the files of life,
wandering through the years.
I thought way back to times long past,
to all my hopes and fears
I looked around for things done wrong
Times I had transgressed
And in shame I hung my head
Those times left me depressed
But to my shock and disbelief
imagine my delight!
Where sin had left it's staining mark
Those areas where white!
I asked my maker “Where are these?”
“These sins have gone away!”
He looked me in the eye and said
“What? Times you've gone astray?”
He's forgotten all my sins
Those dangers of the past
Under his great love for me
Those sins can never last
And now when I look through my files,
for times when I have flubbed
I see the white and then I turn
and thank my God above.
